Luke Alert
This post goes out to Luke's Grandparents who live far away and don't get to partake of his luscious cheeks.

Eli is 5 (and has been for a while)
I never posted one of Eli's monumental events. His first "real" birthday party. He wanted pirate party.
Eye patches seemed like a fun idea, but no one could stand to wear them for long.
The kids had hats, eye patches, balloon swords, and these "jeweled" spyglasses.
We feasted on pirate fingers, eyeballs, and pirate blood.

Jimmy created a scavenger hunt for the buried treasure. The kids were running around the park in search of the treasure chest.

Halloween 09
We had a ninja, a "cary keleton", and a horse for Halloween (plus a bakugon friend - we don't know what bakugon's are either).

Cade let everyone that was frightened by his scary skeleton know that "it's jut a cotume".
The fierce ninja was there to protect us in any precarious situation we found ourselves in.

Dressing Himself
Cade is really good at dressing himself! He knows exactly what he wants to put on, and he likes to do it all by himself. He LOVES wearing my socks pulled all the way up. Every day I can count on Cade asking me "can I wear your socks mommy...ooohhh thank you". There's just something priceless about a chubby kid with a dirty but happy face completely content with himself walking around with mismatched clothes and shoes on the wrong feet. I love it! (Yes - we have gotten a few strange looks in the grocery store, but mostly smiles)

McCall
You might have heard of the phrase "The happiest place on earth". Well, to my husband, that only fits one place...McCall Idaho. Our kids are now discovering why that is.

Grandma gave Eli and Cade some money to buy something special at the store. Eli chose a mini stapler. This lead to making masks which led to creative super hero costumes that were worn faithfully for a few days.
Eli went snorkeling for buried treasure.
And he just "happened" to find some under the water buried in sand.

This was Cade's place of choice for his afternoon nap. Almost every day he would come inside for lunch and take a snooze on the recliner just his size.
